This is an interview with Siouxsie and Severin of SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES conducted by DJ Red Ronnie in (March apparently) 1984 and shown on 'Be Bop a Lula' TV programme of 'Italia Uno' private TV channel.
Here, Siouxsie talks about the medias attitude, the 'build them up, knock them down' mentality and the dangers of overexposure. The interviewer turns the conversation to the emergence of 'gender benders' of Boy George and Divine, while Siouxsie points out that there was Sylvester prior to them in the 70s. The conversation turns to relationships and although Siouxsie stresses the need for 'a mate', she insists she could never live with someone and talks about her pets instead. Includes the videos for "Swimming Horses" and "Miss The Girl". Severin talks briefly about the drug culture of the rock bands in the 70s and their "live fast, die young" motto.
'Be Bop a Lula' was an Italian music television programme presented by DJ Red Ronnie (alias Gabriel Ansah), aired on Italia 1 from 1984 to 1991.
