ADNAN OKTAR: Hazrat Ali (ra) said, "There are three signs of a hypocrite; one of them is that they are lazy when alone." For example, they idly watch television for hours without moving an inch. The hypocrite asks service from others; tea from one, food from another. They don't even want to move a finger. They have no desire to read a book, make a research or do something for the benefit of Islam. "They become lazy when they are alone, but become active around others." For example, hypocrites become very active if they get on TV or attend a crowded event such as a conference meeting, a ball or a wedding, because they desire to be the center of attention.
