Russian air strikes in Syria are making a bad situation worse, weakening the moderate opposition and triggering fresh waves of refugees fleeing toward Europe, EU Council President Donald Tusk said on Tuesday.
Russia had been criticised on an international level for the high number of civilian deaths in air strikes and its intentional targeting of schools and hospitals, with some reports claiming over 1,800 civilians have been killed.
