Hackers, making good on a threat, published contact information for 20,000 FBI employees Monday afternoon, just one day after posting similar data on almost 10,000 Department of Homeland Security employees.
Department spokesman Peter Carr told CNN it does not appear there was a breach of private personnel information, such as Social Security numbers.
"The department is looking into the unauthorized access of a system operated by one of its components containing employee contact information," said Carr.
The hackers taunted federal officials, tweeting, "When will the US government realize we won't stop until they cut relations with Israel."
