A dog was rescued from a frozen pond by daring firefighters in Virginia.
On Tuesday, deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office arrived at an ice-covered pond to find a yellow labrador stuck about 50 feet from the shore.
According to an Orange County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post, the stranded dog had "broken through the ice" and was in freezing water that reached up to his chest.
Lake of the Woods Fire and Rescue group was called and a ladder was extended over the ice by their crewmembers.
One of them crawled out to grab the dog, and though the ice cracked and he fell into the water himself, both were quickly removed by the rest of the team.
