Kimizukis backstory is pretty cliche w/ trying to cure his sister but I still really like it and it gets me. people gotta stop complaining about cliche or writing this off as generic w/ the AoT comparisions and realize its super entertaining\r

SHINOA = BEST GIRL (although that vampire chick from the OP may beat her)\r
Yuus resolve is just amazing - we learn about demonic contracts and how the cursed gear weapons that the moon demon company use work - we also get more worlding - developing humanities current state and about the monsters that roam the world - how do they relate to the vampires? and how do these demons come about (cursed human/vampires, etc.)\r

This episode was quite good in my opinion and I like the setup. Guren is Badass and SHINOA FTW! - mah boy Yu got some nice development this episode and I lik his character and how he goes in - gotta give credit to Yoichi for his bravery also (forget what I said about him not deserving to be in the Demon Moon Company) \r
also I knew Mika would be alive so I dont even feel spoiled. everyone complaining about the cliche and using the Shingeki no Kyojin comparison to knock this series needs to calm down, take a step back, and just enjoy this quality adaptation wit is putting out (THIS S*** GOES HARD)\r

THIS PROLOGUE-esque EPISODE WAS HYPE - This series is gonna be incredibly entertaining and it seems like Wit Studios is going hard - DAT SAWANO GREATNESS W/ THE OST THO - Definite Attack on Titan Vibes with this first episode (just replace Titans with Vampires) - this feel is heavily boosted by Wit Studios, The Staff + Sawanos involvement\r
I really like Yus character and the feels were strong as that fiend killed of his adopted family - Mika went out like a boss tho mad respect (even tho he had some f*** boy tendancies) - WILL ONE OF THESE KIDS COME BACK AS A VAMPIRE?? (feels like an inescapable plot progression point)\r
