Ahmedabad : Police personnel who are residing in the Ranip quarters seem to be grappling with the problem of their own safety. A visit to the quarters reveals the reason.
The quarters are plagued by maintenance issues. Walls of the apartments have developed large cracks and the sunshades of a few flats have been damaged completely. Rain water seeps into the flats each rainy season. The flats are very old and most of them are damaged. Some of the flats are unsafe for living. “But we have no other option but to stay in the damaged flats,” police staying in the quarters say.
