Doli Saja Ke explores the intricacies and the emotional depths of the father and daughter relationship. It is aired on Sahara One TV and shows how a girl child becomes the eyesore of her father because her mother expired the day she was born. It also delves into the part of her life where she is seen growing up amidst hatred and curse and how she will be rescued by her Prince Charming who would take her along with him to the happily-ever-after dreamland. The serial is produced by the veteran actor-turned-producer Aruna Irani. She also justified the fact of again launching a stereotype family drama based on women who are termed as `manhoos` or `cursed` saying that this is what really happens in many cases.
