Jodhpur, Jan 30 (ANI): Two soldiers were killed and five got injured in a mortar blast during a military training exercise in the western Rajasthan state bordering Pakistan. The jawans of paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) were practicing firing with 81mm mortars, when suddenly the ammunition went off in the barrel itself in Kishangarh field firing range in Pokhran near Jaisalmer city. An official said that the severely wounded soldiers were at once rushed by an Indian air force chopper to Jodhpur city for treatment. Meghwal hoped such incidents are not repeated in the future. A similar mishap at a firing range had left four Indian soldiers injured in 2012.
