Cars and buses negotiate a frozen street in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku on Tuesday, sliding and skidding on a thick layer of ice and narrowly avoiding collisions. A cold snap has left car breaks useless and wheels spinning as drivers try to navigate the junction. Azerbaijan is not used to a lot of ice and neither cars nor roads are widely prepared to deal with it.
