Postmodernism is a late-20th-century movement in the arts, architecture, and criticism that was a departure from modernism. Postmodernism articulates that the world is in a state of perpetual incompleteness and permanent unresolve. It is said that the transition from modernism to postmodernism occurred some time after world war II as an answer to the hyper rationality. One common theme that I have noticed with it is how although, it has for the most part fallen out of popularity we still see traces of it in society. Dystopian movies, deconsconstruction of stuctures with post structuralism, there are no absolutes, no truth, skepticism, nihilism and so forth are all traits of it. This week I want to discuss the affects that it has had on society as a whole and everything from: modern conspiracy theories, how it is will be used as a tool in the last days described in the bible to bring hopelessness, as well as how it is employed by the emergent church which has produced a lot of modern doctrines.
