New Delhi, Jan 28 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday declared Union youth affairs and sports minister Sarbanand Sonowal as their Chief Minister candidate for the upcoming Assam assembly elections. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda said that the decision was taken in the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present. Nadda further informed that among the upcoming five state elections, only Assam’s Chief Ministerial candidate was finalised.
