ALASKA — Angel Collinson is known for dropping jaws for her success on the slopes, but her tumble down a Neacola Range mountain in Alaska last spring made our jaws hit the floor.
At first, video of the incident shows the pro-skier navigating through the powder with ease, but something happened when she hit a patch of icy snow. Collinson lost her footing and began a tumble that took her 1,000 feet downhill.
Surprisingly, she was able to walk away from the spill with just a couple jammed fingers. Otherwise, she was completely unscathed.
"I'm ok, I'm ok," she said when she finally came to a stop.
Collinson told ABC News, "I covered my face and protected her head with my arms. And I kinda just held on until I stopped."
