Officials on Tuesday said there was no sign a shooting occurred at the naval medical center in San Diego, just hours after officials received a report about a shooter. People were evacuated from several buildings late in the morning as a team searched the area for a potential suspect and possible casualties. Captain Curt Jones, commanding officer for the naval base, said it appeared the original witness was mistaken.
