After much speculation it has finally been confirmed that 'Vacation' co-writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will be writing the script for Marvel and Sony's upcoming Spider-Man reboot. Along with the confirmation by Daley and Goldstein they also shared a few details on how they're handling the portrayal of Tom Holland's Peter Parker, noting that his relatability as a geek will be an important part of the character. "He's a sharp kid and witty and kind of deals with the fact that he's an outcast and a geek through humor,"
Sony and Marvel are set to release the new Spider-Man movie on July 28, 2017. Before then, Holland will make his first Spidey appearance in Captain America: Civil War, which is slated for release on May 6, 2016.
