Christopher Hitchens, philosophy and drink: The Festival of Dangerous Ideas returns to the Sydney Opera House in October and once again Big Ideas will be there.

This year's lineup includes 'Alan Dershowitz v Geoffrey Robertson: Should the Pope be held to account?' 'Lenore Skenazy: Is Freedom to dangerous for kids?' and 'Tariq Ali: What we can learn from terrorists.' Check out the full program here and keep an eye on Big Ideas for the best of the festival.

The highlight of last year's Festival of Dangerous Ideas was Christopher Hitchens in conversation with Big Ideas' Tony Jones. Hitchens entertained a sold out audience at the Concert Hall explaining how religion poisons everything and finished the evening by singing the Philosophers Song. Enjoy this unexpected treat.
