Welcome to my newest project, Lets Play Metroid for the NES! Im going out of my comfort zone here, as this is my first LP of a game for the original Nintendo. After my LP of Metroid Prime, Ive decided to give the Metroid series another shot, and what better game to play than the one that started it all? This is going to hopefully be a rather short LP, since the game only contains five separate areas. Ill be covering each area in one video, which will add up to five videos. To space this project out and keep it from going so quickly, Im going to be uploading the videos exclusively on the weekends. Lets Play Pokémon Yellow will still be given higher priority as my main project, with Metroid being a side-project.\r

In this video, we start the game and explore Brinstar, the first area of the game. With the exception of one upgrade, we completely knock off the entire area before taking an elevator to enter the next area. It serves as a nice way to ease into the game, allowing us to get our hands on several pieces of equipment, including the Morph Ball (or Round Ball as this game calls it), Missiles, and the Ice Beam. Unfortunately, in the next episode the game will stop being easy.\r
