(UPDATED) Halo 4: Fly a Pelican on Reclaimer (Updated Trick/Glitch Tutorial)

2016-01-23 6

This updated tutorial is a streamlined version of the original, allowing you to Fly a Pelican on Reclaimer in a much simpler, quicker method.
Pilot a Pelican on Infinity:
============
Tutorial:
**For this you will need 2 players
(The following should be done as quick as possible, or while a player actively delays a checkpoint (melee/jumping))
=Start Reclaimer at Rally Point: Alpha.
Both players should run into the cave directly ahead, stopping at this rock:
Player1 should now do a Double Jump off of Player2s head, making sure to hold FORWARD, and LEFT to avoid the Loadzone. (If you see a Pelican spawn, or an objective marker at this point ( you have failed and will need to revert to try again).
Once done, the players should actively delay the checkpoint by Melee/Jumping.
(Player1 should now walk toward the Mammoth, while Player2 remains inside the cave, and does not progress.)
Player1 should then enter the Mammoth, and make their way to the top of the vehicle. Once at the top, stand on the turret, and line up ahead (as shown in the video).
At this time, the players should stop delaying the checkpoint, which should then activate, allowing an easy setup to revert back to.
The Players should now be set up as follows:
Player 1: Standing on the Turret of the Mammoth
Player 2: Standing in the Cave (
Now, Player1 will run forward and jump off of the Mammoth, as Player2 moves forward within the cave (hitting the skipped Loadzone).
This will Spawn the Pelican, and if the timing is correct, Player1 should now be inside the vehicle.
If done correctly, Player1 should be inside (NOT Riding) the Pelican, and Player2 should now jump off of the map to die.
Player2 should spawn inside of the Pelican with Player1 after a few seconds. As soon as Player2 spawns, they should RIDE in seat of the Pelican.
Player1 will then walk to the front of the Pelican, and turn to face the rear of the vehicle.
After a few seconds, Player1 should see a prompt allowing them to Pilot the Pelican.
You should now be in full control of the Pelican, and are free to fly it around the map.
===========
Notes:
You should get a checkpoint sometime during your time in the Pelican (before you are in control). You can gain additional checkpoints by flying back toward the Mammoth, and staying near it during its path. You can also force additional checkpoints by flying slightly ahead in the mission and killing the enemies that spawn.
There are a number of areas that will kill you, or deload the Pelican. You should note these areas and be careful, but you should have enough accessibility to checkpoints where this will not be an issue.
