Es una Banda de Rock que nace en enero del 2007. Se reunen en primer instancia Carmen, Pina y Malena para tocar algunas canciones de Carmen (guitarra y voces) quien después de finalizar su anterior proyecto (MOMO) acumulo nuevas composiciones de su autoría, y al cabo de unas semanas se definen como una agrupación en busqueda de un sonido particular.
Después de unos meses se integra Alejandra al proyecto como voz principal aportando el ingrediente faltante para reforzar la unión de esta banda.
Matiné proyecta un estilo influenciado por sonidos alternativos de la década de los años 90’s con un toque apegado a la tendencia actual de revivir el sonido retro como lo han hecho bandas como Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Vines, Franz Ferdinand, Interpool entre otras. La Banda se produjo su primer material de manera independiente, el cual se puede escuchar en el sitio www.myspace.com/lamatinee.
This rock band started on January of 2007. first Carmen, Pina and Malena gather up to play a few songs of Carmen (guitar and chorus), who after finish her previous project wrote new songs, and after a couple of weeks they got together again an decided to start a band to search a new, particular sound.
After a few months, Alejandra joined the project as leading voice adding the extra flavor to reinforce the union of this band.
Matiné’s style is influenced by alternatives sounds of the 90’s with a bit of retro sound of new tendencies like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Vines, Franz Ferdinand, Interpool among others.
