Vyacheslav has a rare congenital disease that causes his bones to grow abnormally. His appearance is distorted and his vital organs are damaged. The disorder has compromised his ability to walk, and his breathing has also been adversely affected. He needs surgery to straighten out his lungs, but doctors have refused to perform it, because they lack confidence in dealing with such a rare genetic disease.

Evgeny Tarabrin from Russia’s famous Sklifosovsky Institute, however, is ready to conduct the operation. It’s very risky but someone has to do it, otherwise the patient will die of suffocation. Despite his disability, Vyacheslav is used to leading an active lifestyle. He’s determined to do all it takes to get better.

Sklifosovsky Institute, aka Sklif: Europe's largest research and development facility for emergency medical care, complete with a hospital, research labs, surgery rooms, burn treatment facility and much more. Here, battles against death are fought every minute of every day. It takes the best to win.
