BAGHDAD, IRAQ — Three American contractors in Iraq are missing after their suspected kidnappings, Iraqi security officials have said.
A senior official told CNN that the three men, one a U.S. national and the others dual U.S.-Iraqi nationals were in an apartment in the Dora district of Baghdad on Friday when they were taken by a group of gunmen.
The three contractors were then taken away in a convoy of several vehicles, the security source added.
The company employing the three informed the authorities that the contractors were missing on Sunday.
The U.S. State Department said, "We are working with the full cooperation of the Iraqi authorities to locate and recover the individuals."
