I have four level 60 characters now and have leveled the recent three from 48 to 60 in a very small amount of time. My latest character I leveled from 48 to 51 in twenty minutes. Over all from 48 to 60 took me about six hours and it only took that long because some of the quests bugged out or were Find This Place or Person that is hidden!. If not for those type of things happening, I probably would have did it much faster.
Step 1: When you are level 48, take the quest to go to the Storm Legion lands from the guy standing near your main citys teleporter. Preferably to Cape Jule as the quests require less killing and stay great XP throughout it all.
Step 2: Do storyline quests (the quests with the gold background in the quest dialog) as they are extremely high in XP rewards. Do not do any other quest, even carnage if you can prevent it. Go from story line quest giver, to the goal, and right back to turn in. Side quests will just make the process slower.
Step 3: Use any kind of teleporters you have such as Soul Recall, Braevic Portal, Tempest Bay Teleporter stone, etc. Whatever you have to make the process faster is best. Even get a faster mount if you can. Most of the quests require you to run long distances and that is where all your time is spent generally. If you can prevent the runs taking so long, do it.
Step 4: If, for whatever reason, the storyline quests run out or you arent sure where the next step is for your storyline, then just go to the other continent and pick up the storyline quests in the first zone. Even the starter quests there will be amazing XP. Dont spend too much time looking for the next step when you can always go to the other continent and keep the XP train moving!
Optional: Use an experience potion. Often times Trion will give out free XP boosts to people in order to make up for downtime or anything else. One 160% potion lasts two hours and will easily get you at least two levels. Even 58 to 60. Patron bonuses work too.
Also Optional: I highly recommend you have rested experience while leveling. If you use up all of your rested experience, then log out in a town so you can build it back up for the next time you are leveling.
WARNING: As I said, I recommend you going to Cape Jule first. At some point in the past, Trion boosted the experience you get while doing story quests in the Storm Legion zones. However, the Pallendane quests eventually go to the old experience it seems. When landing in Necropolis, for some reason the experience goes down per story quest rather than increases. I assume it is just quests that werent increased in experience like the rest. Cape Jule storyline quests never go down in experience like the Pallendane ones do eventually.
