For years, the Bovoni Race Track on St. Thomas was the place to be for drag racing enthusiasts. But after Hurricane Hugo damaged the track and its facilities in 1989, tenants moved onto the property, and drag racing dwindled. Now the St. Thomas Auto Racing Association is fighting to regain full usage of the land, and get drag racing its home back.
