Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall placed a small notice in the Births, Marriages and Deaths section of the Times newspaper, which is owned by Mr Murdoch’s News Corporation, announcing their engagement. The pair got engaged at the weekend during which they attended the Golden Globes in Los Angeles, posing for photographers as they walked along the red carpet.
