A new kind of air cleaner was filmed working on a street in southern China's Guangdong Province this week, which is being used to fight against the increasingly smoggy weather.

The video, filmed in Jiangmen on Thursday, shows the giant vehicle, which looks like a Howitzer, spraying massive amount of water into the air to wash away the dust.

According to local media, the machine costs more than 700,000 yuan (£70,000).

The technology has reportedly been used in a few cities in the country, including some close to Beijing.
