The 30-year old journalist was killed in September, but news of her departure was confirmed by activists following ISIS members’ claims on social media, in Raqqa that she was still not dead.
Hassan, who wrote under the pseudonym Nissan Ibrahim, also wrote concerning the regular coalition-led airstrikes in Raqqa against ISIS, the Guardian reports.
In a single place she challenged the predicament facing her city.
“Ok if we do not need Daesh , and we do not need the coalition bombing Daesh, and we do not need the Free Syria[n] Army to fight Daesh… Then what do we need just?”
Last summer, she wrote.
For her work as a journalist, Hassan was put by ISIS under surveillance and detained her in August a year ago, accusing her of being in connection with the Free Syrian Army.
The creator of the anti-ISIS activist group Raqqa Will Be Slaughtered Quietly tweeted the last messages Hassan managed to post on Facebook.
