Threaded rod is commonly used on construction sites to secure pipe, conduit, duct work, and other construction elements. The cutter's head is made of forged alloy steel while cutting dies are heat-treated for strength. Powder-coated, painted handle features a drilled hole on the lower handle for permanent mounting to a benchtop or other surface. There's also a comfort handle grip on the upper handle. TRC2D Threaded Rod Cutters features two cutting spots for 1/2" or 3/8". The TCR1S, with a single cutting space, ships with 3/8" dies and can be outfitted with optional dies for 1/4" and 5/16" rod. The TCR1S holds one die set at a time, thus the reason for optional dies.
