Went on our annual WV cabin retreat of Grove City pals. Thanks to Dave Sizemore of Carnifex Ferry Cottages for allowing us to shoot on his plinking grounds. Dan (a marine) brought a re-stocked British .303 Lee-Enfield to play with (along with an old single-shot bolt-action .22). I brought my Marlin .22, Mossberg 930, and S&W M&P9 to the party. Dan's the only trained one among us, so it was interesting to see his form (stance/grip/posture, with rifle and pistol). I'm self-taught, but I've been hitting matches every month since the beginning of the year, so I've learned by observation of competitive shooters. Then we have Andrew & Chris, who AFAIK don't really shoot. They all did very well IMHO! We had a lot of fun just shooting cans & bottles (destined for the recycling bin), as well as a very basic introduction to the USPSA format.
I tried some different ways of mounting my hatcam. I also tried different ways of displaying the two video feeds. The battery died on my cell phone, so lost a secondary camera in the end.
