Hot and windy conditions have pushed bushfires out of control in the state of Victoria, in southern Australia.
More than 100 houses have been destroyed in the fires that have swept through the popular holiday towns of Wye River and Separation Creek.
Many residents and holidaymakers were forced to flee and Christmas festivities were abandoned when the scale of the threat became apparent.
