After 39 years, the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires have found another granddaughter. Maria Isabel ‘Chicha’ Chorobik de Mariana was reunited with her granddaughter Clara Anahi Teruggi on Christmas Eve. Clara was kidnapped from her home during the Argentine dictatorship in 1976, when she was just three months old. Military and police officers attacked her home, killing her mother and four comrades and taking the baby. Her father was killed the next year. Chicha has written numerous letters to Clara over the years in an effort to find her. teleSUR
