SAVANNAH, GEORGIA — Three men have been charged this week related to the shooting of Rebecca Foley, a Georgia college student who was shot dead in 2013.
The suspects have been identified as Kevin Lenard Smith, 23, Roderick Demione Parrish, 22, and Jordan Lamar Campbell, 23. According to the Savannah Morning News, the men were in jail on unrelated charges.
The suspects are all charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and weapons possession during the commission of a felony, NBC News reported. Authorities did not explain why it has taken three years to make progress in the case.
According to NBC News, Rebecca Foley, a Savannah State University student was shot dead when driving home after getting her nails done in the evening of January 21 in 2013. She was shot near her flat at Colonial Village at Marsh Cove, the Savannah Morning News reported. A single bullet was fired through the rear, driver-side window and struck Foley, killing her.
