Mexico's Executive Commission for Victims' Assistence (CEAV) announced yesterday that an economic compensation would be granted to the family of David Garcia, a soccer player killed "by accident" in the repression against the Ayotzinapa students on September 29, 2014. Family members of the 43 missing Ayotzinapa students charge that the CEAV is an attempt by authorities to silence their demands for a more thorough and independent investigation.
