Texas cop pulls over Chewbacca, Han Solo, in Star Wars-inspired viral video

FULSHEAR, TEXAS — While Chewbacca and Han Solo regularly outrun Imperial spacecraft in the Millennium Falcon, in a Hummer they were no match for a police cruiser in the Texas city of Fulshear.

Dashcam footage from the Fulshear Police Department shows an officer questioning Chewie, possibly for drunk driving, before Han Solo jumps out and offers his Wookie translating services.

The pair told the cop they were headed to a Star Wars premiere, so naturally all the Sith Lords were in attendance

A quip from Darth Vader about the force being strong had the cop quickly assuring the motley crew that he was also part of the force, and joined them he did. Nevermind that the only space left for him was the trunk.

After the party of six piled into the SUV and went off to see the force awaken, a Jawa shows up to hijack the abandoned police car. No doubt wanting a bit of fun himself, the tiny humanoid gets behind the wheel and drives off.

The video was just a hilarious bit of fun from the Fulshear police in honor of the new Star Wars film. According to the Houston Chronicle, all the officers in the video were off duty at the time and used costumes provided by a resident known to throw yearly May the Fourth be with you parties.
