HTC's new One X9 may never make it outside of China, but that doesn't mean it can't be pined over by Android enthusiasts around the globe. The 5.5-inch version of the iPhone-like HTC A9 has popped up in high-res photos from Chinese smartphone blog Anzhuo, and the device looks fantastic.
The X9 appears to deviate from its smaller counterpart in subtle ways, most notably the presence of HTC's Boomsound front-facing speakers that were left out of the A9. The phone also carries a 2.2GHz quad-core chip from an unknown supplier and 2GB of memory, with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing one, according to preliminary specifications from Chinese telecom TENAA. Unfortunately, there's no indication HTC will bring the X9 to Europe or the US.
