Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa thanked his Colombian counterpart Juan Manuel Santos for backing his efforts to join a trade agreement between the European Union, Colombia and Peru. On a visit to Colombia, Correa added that the EU is Ecuador’s most important non-oil market. Meeting in Cali, the two leaders discussed the economy, security and defense, as well as infrastructure, border issues, and environmental, social and cultural matters. teleSUR
