Footage of floodwaters sweeping through the village of Glenridding in Cumbria, UK on Wednesday night and volunteers using JCBs to try and stop further damage in the early hours of Thursday.
The video shows a local shop filled with water, with a partially submerged christmas tree in the window.
The filmer described the renewed flooding as "turning a road into a river". He also wrote online: "Volunteer digger operators for the 4th day running helped save buildings and people from the torrent of water by diverting the water which broke the river banks."
He added that the volunteers "deserve a knighthood".
