NASA has released a new composite view of Saturn’s largest moon Titan which contains shades of blue, green, and red depending on the area’s wavelength.
NASA has released a new, composite image of Saturn’s largest moon, Titan.
The data was acquired by the agency’s Cassini spacecraft during a flyby on November 13th.
According to NASA, "During this Titan flyby, the spacecraft's closest-approach altitude was 6,200 miles (10,000 kilometers), which is considerably higher than those of typical flybys, which are around 750 miles."
The intention was to sacrifice some resolution in order to achieve a wider view of Titan.
