Vivo on Monday unveiled the Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus smartphones in China. The company apart from the mid-range handsets also revealed the low-end Y51 smartphone. As of now, the Chinese company has not revealed pricing or availability details of the Vivo Y51.
The dual-SIM dual standby supporting Vivo Y51 runs the company's FunTouch OS based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and features a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) resolution IPS display. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). The Vivo Y51 also sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset additionally features Night mode, HDR, Panorama, and Face Beauty modes. The rear camera supports full-HD (1080p) video recording.
The Vivo Y51's China listing reveals the smartphone supports Indian 4G LTE bands (2300MHz and 1800MHz) along with GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB connectivity options. Measuring 143.8x71.7x7.52mm, the smartphone weighs 157 grams and is backed by a 2350mAh Li-Po battery. The handset packs ambient light, proximity, gravity, and digital compass sensors.
