Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Ramallah on Tuesday evening, just hours after his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv. Abbas turned over five files to Kerry with information about Israeli attacks against Palestinians since October, collective punishment, settlement expansion and home demolitions. Given Kerry’s expression of support for Israel's right to "defend" itself from "terrorist attacks," in his meeting with Netanyahu, Palestinian analysts conclude that the visit offers nothing of value to the Palestinian people.
