All the shots are from the Dolly Sods Wilderness except the burning campfire (Kombrabow State Forest). Some of these scenes were included in an earlier video, “Deep Forest Journey”. Dolly Sods (originally “Dahle”, after a family of that name) is in West Virginia, not far from Mt Storm. Parts of the wilderness are spectacular, but difficult to capture in a photo. It is not for novice hikers. The hazards include swamps, bears, unexploded artillery shells, and unpredictable weather.
