Pas festivalit Folklorik Ndërkombëtar ne Vlorë, ka startuar një tjetër ne Gjirokastër. Edicioni i peste i "Fest Argjiro", ka gjallëruar qytetin e gurte ne nisje te këtij sezonit turistik. 11 ansamblet nga rajoni pasi kane parakaluar ne rrugicat e kalldrëmta, kane ndezur sheshin e Çerçizit me këngë e valle tradicionale. Përpos qëllimit për te gjallëruar jetën kulturore ne qytet, synimi kryesor i zhvillimit te këtij aktiviteti nga bashkia, mbetet promovimi i vlerave te qytetit muze, si dhe krijimi , urave te miqësisë e bashkëpunimit ne rajon. Gjate tre netëve grupet pjesëmarrëse do te performojne pjesët e zgjedhura dhe qe perfaqesojne me mire vendet nga ato vijnë. Megjithatë, mësohet se ne fund nuk do te ketë çmime, por vetëm certifikata.
