Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has closed the door to the invitation of Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic, who seeks direct talks between Pristina and Belgrade.
Speaking to the daily "Zeri", Thaci has ruled out any possibility that there may be negotiations, without the mediation of the European Union. I hope that things will move toward agreement. It's time for Belgrade to be clear with Brussels. Everything depends on the commitment and leadership of Baroness Ashton, who is also the reference point for each answer. Other talks will not be, as there will be no other mediator. So there will be no direct dialogue. Serbia still has until April 22 to give a response to Ashton plan for community Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo.
