7 mije shqiptare preken çdo vit nga sëmundjet tumoriale, nga te cilët 2500 jetojnë ne Tirane. Me shume se shifrat mjeket shohin alarmuese moshën e pacienteve qe është ulur me te paktën 20 vite. Kanceri nga sëmundje e brezit te trete është kthyer ne rrezik për te rinjtë apo moshën 40-vjeçare. 100 tipe tumoresh prekin njerëzit, ndërkohë qe mjeket rendisin disa shkaqe te përhapjes se saj, te lidhura me jetesën ne zonat urbane si per shembull ndotja, rrezatimi dhe stresi. Ne ditën botërore te luftës kundër kancerit ministri i shëndetësisë pohoi se është hartuar projektligj për kujdesin paliativ, qe përfshin trajtimin e te sëmurëve ne stadin e fundit te sëmundjes.
