Një vrasje e dyfishte ka tronditur Shkodrën pak ore para ndërrimit te viteve. Gjate një tentative për grabitje ka gjetur vdekjen i zoti i shtëpisë Zef Markaj, grabitësi Ardian Kola dhe është plagosur vëllai i viktimës Gjon Markaj. Ngjarja e rende ka ndodhur ne orën 2.30 te mëngjesit te se hënës, ne fshatin Hot i Ri, vetëm pak kilometra larg Shkodrës. Sipas policisë shtëpia e Zef Markajt ishte piketuar për tu grabitur nga dy persona nje prej tyre Ardian Kola nga qyteti i Laçit, ndërsa tjetri ende i paidentifikuar. Teksa familjaret ishin ne gjumë dy grabitësit po tentonin te hapnin me force derën e shtëpie se Zef Markajt. Ky i fundit se bashku me te vëllain pasi kane dëgjuar zhurmat kane ndërhyre duke goditur me sende te forta ne koke dhe trup grabitësin Ardian Kola i cili ka gjetur vdekjen. Por te zotet e shtëpisë janë sulmuar me arme nga grabitësi tjetër nga ku ka mbetur i vdekur Zef Markaj dhe është plagosur, por jashtë rrezikut për jetën, vëllai i tij Gjon Markaj. Policia po punon gjetjen dhe kapjen e grabitësit te dyte. Mësohet se viktima Zef Markaj nuk kishte konflikte me fise apo familje te tjera.
