Gati një muaj pas datës se planifikuar, ne bulevardin Zogu i Pare, u inaugurua këtë te hëne shtatorja e ish-mbretit Zog. Vepra u shpalos nga anëtaret e familjes mbretërore, legaliste si dhe nga kryeministri Berisha. Ne fjalën e tij, kreu i qeverise iu rikthye një pike te debatuar te historisë, duke deklaruar se Zogu gjate pushtimit te Shqipërisë nga Italia fashiste, nuk kapitulloi, por luftoi ne mërgim. Por, kjo e hëne shënonte ne kalendar datën 24 dhjetor, dite e cila përkon me 24 dhjetorin e vitit 1924. E thëne ndryshe plot 88 vjet nga koha kur Zogu rrezoi qeverinë e Nolit dhe ktheu legalitetin. Ndaj, inaugurimi i shtatores u zgjodh enkas ne këtë dite, edhe pse historianet ndahet ne qëndrime. Për Beqir Meten kjo date shënon nje epoke te rëndësishme, ndërsa studiuesi Artan Lame shprehet se përurimi i sotëm është bere qëllimisht për te lëkundur figurën e Nolit dhe për te larguar vëmendjen nga plani rregullues i Tiranës. Shtatorja e Ahmet Zogut mban firmën e skulptorit Kreshnik Xhiku, ajo është mbi tre metër e larte dhe është derdhur ne Bronx.
