Enti Rregullator i Energjisë ka shtyrë marrjen e vendimit pas kërkesës së bërë nga CEZ për rinovim të liçencës për shpërndarjen e energjisë me pakicë në vitin 2013.
Sipas drejtoreshës së liçensimit pranë këtij enti, në rastin që kanë nisur procedurat për heqjen e liçencës së kompanisë për këtë vit, atëherë nuk mund të merret parasysh mundësia për dhënien e të drejtave të shpërndarjes në 2013-ën. Enti Rregullator i ka lënë kompanisë CEZ 1 muaj afat për përmbushjen e disa kushteve siç janë mosndërprerja e energjisë në mënyrë kolektive apo përmirësimi i bilancit financiar, dhe më pas duhet edhe një muaj tjetër që bordi të vendosë nëse çekët do të kenë të drejtë të shpërndajnë apo jo energjinë elektrike. Sipas drejtorit të ERE-s, nëse liçenca nuk rinovohet, nuk ka rrezik për furnizimin me energji elektrike. Kërkesa e CEZ-it për rinovim liçence është një procedurë rutinë që bëhet për vit. Ndërkohë pas tensionimit të situatës mes qeverisë shqiptare dhe kësaj kompanie, CEZ në Pragë ka nisur procedurat për të përfituar garancinë prej 60 milion eurosh nga banka botërore, shumë e e vendosur garant gjatë privatizimit të operatorit të sistemit të shpërndarjes.
