Lirak Bejko 47 vjeç, ishte dënuar nga diktatura komuniste me 20 vjet burg nen akuzën e agjitacion propagandës. Ai u arrestua nga sigurimi, pas tentativës për arratisje për shkak se u tradhtua nga disa persona.
Bejko iu nënshtrua seancave te gjata te hetuesisë, ku përjetoi një dhune ekstreme. Ne dy dekada demokraci Bejko ishte emigrant ne Greqi e Gjermani ku edhe u kurua për shkak se shëndeti i tij ishte goditur rende nga dhuna ne burg si dhe nga tuberkulozi. Muajin e kaluar, ndërsa Bejko ishte ne greve urie, gjykata e Tiranes e dënoi atë me 1 milion leke te vjetra gjobe si dhe pune ne shërbim te komunitetit, për shkak te sulmit qe Bejko beri se bashku me Gjergj Ndrecen ndaj deputetit Ilir Rusmali.
