Mbrojtja e regjimit pa viza vjen përmes integrimit te komunitetit rom ne shoqëritë e vendeve te Ballkanit perëndimor.
Ky është mesazhi qe ministri francez dhe ai gjermani i Mbrojtjes i kane dhënë Serbisë, Maqedonisë, Malit te Zi e Shqipërisë, një dite pasi ministrat e Brendshëm kërkuan zyrtarisht heqjen e përkohshme te vizave për vendet e Ballkanit. "Bashkimi Evropian pret një seri masash nga krerët e shteteve qe kane aplikuar per anëtarësim ne BE apo dhe vendet potenciale per aplikim qe per hartojnë politike per te përmirësuar integrimin e romeve dhe te siguroje strehimin dhe ushqyerjen e tyre.", ka deklaruar ministri francez Manuel Valls. Ndërkohe, ministri i Brendshëm gjerman ka shtuar se është e papranueshme qe numri i kërkesave për azil politik te jete me i madh nga Serbia sesa nga Afganistani. Te mërkurën ministrat e Brendshëm kërkuan rikthimin me 6 muaj te regjimit pa viza deri ne marrjen e këtyre masave. Megjithatë, ministrat nuk proceduan me votim pasi me pare ata duhet te akordojnë qëndrimet me parlamentin, ne mënyrë qe kërkesa e tyre te mos refuzohet. Kërkesat për azil drejt vendeve te BE-së jane rritur me 75 % krahasuar me një vit me pare. Vendet me te cenuara ne këto kërkesa janë Gjermania, Hollanda, Suedia, Luksemburgu, Belgjika dhe Franca.
