Një ditë para publikimit te progres-raportit te BE për Shqipërinë, 39% e shqiptarëve mendojnë se vendi ynë do ta marrë statusin e vendit kandidat dhe përgjigja te mërkurën do te jete pozitive. Sondazhi i publikuar nga Instituti për Studimet Ndërkombëtarë thotë gjithashtu se një pjese jo e vogël prej rreth 33.5% mendojnë te kundërtën. Duke marrë si kampion rreth 1200 qytetare ne 10 qyteteve, një pyetje ku 49 % e shqiptareve janë pesimist është se vendi, nuk është i përgatitur për t'u anëtarësuar ne BE. Vetëm 30% e të anketuarve mendojnë të kundërtën. Por ne pyetjen se BE duhet ta pranoje Shqipërinë para se ajo te jetë gati për t'u bërë anëtare e saj, 38% mendojnë se po dhe 37 % mendojnë jo. Ajo që ka ndryshuar me sondazhin e nje vti me parë është se shqiptaret e shohin qeverinë si institucioni me i rëndësishëm për integrimin e vendit, ne ndryshim nga partitë politike që ishte në vitin 2011. Për një tjetër pyetje ku 40% e shqiptareve i është marrë mendim është se ne vitin 2020 vendi do te jete anetare me te drejta të plota në BE. 27 % mendojnë ne 2014 do te jete ky moment nëse do te realizohen reformat.
