Duke folur ne konferencën e trete ndërkombëtare për qeverisjen vendore kryeministri Hashim Thaçi pranoi se krijimi i komunës se Mitrovicës veriore, sikurse e parashihte plani i Ahtisarit është një sfide qe duhet tejkaluar, duke nisur dialogun e brendshëm me banoret serbe te veriut.
